The Ohio Insurance Fraud Summit brings together leaders from industry, law enforcement, and the legal and regulatory communities to examine emerging fraud trends, share insights, and advance solutions that protect Ohio insurance consumers.

The program will feature a keynote address from Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson, along with perspectives from national and Ohio-based industry leaders on the issues shaping insurance fraud and the strategies needed to address them, including:

  • The State of Insurance Fraud — A look at emerging risks, fraud trends, cost drivers, consumer impacts, and the importance of coordinated prevention, detection, and enforcement efforts.
  • Artificial Intelligence and the New Fraud Frontier — How AI is creating new fraud risks while also giving insurers more sophisticated tools to detect suspicious activity and strengthen investigations.
  • Fraud Case Study & Reporting Best Practices — A practical examination of an Ohio insurance fraud investigation, including effective referrals, reporting practices, and collaboration between insurers and investigators.
  • Protecting the Safety Net — Lessons from fraud affecting the Ohio Assigned Risk Plan and how industry, regulatory, operational, and legislative responses helped strengthen oversight and protect the integrity of the Plan.
  • Policy, Advocacy, and Cross-Functional Strategies — A discussion of legislative and regulatory developments, emerging policy priorities, and ways operational fraud expertise can better inform advocacy and policymaking
