On Tuesday, June 30th at 10:00 a.m. the Ohio Insurance Institute is hosting a regulatory and legislative update featuring The Ohio Department Insurance Director Jillian Froment and OII’s Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Michael Farley.
Director Froment will provide an update on some of the changes in the insurance department’s handling of regulating the industry in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing protocols. She will also provide an update on activity at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
The Ohio legislature has been very active this past few weeks and numerous issues impacting property and casualty insurance and surety and fidelity bonds are being addressed in multiple pending bills. The Ohio General Assembly is expected to wrap-up its work in the next week and then break for summer recess. Mr. Farley will provide an update on property and casualty insurance related legislative matters that have been addressed and that remain pending in the Ohio legislature.
This one hour update is open to all OII members, and will include an opportunity for questions from participants.
