Brittany Halpin Joins Ohio Insurance Institute as Director of Communications
COLUMBUS – This week, Brittany Halpin joined the Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) as Director of Communications.
“We’re excited to welcome Brittany to the OII team,” said OII President and CEO Dean Fadel. “The insurance industry continues to play a key role in driving Ohio’s economic prosperity, and with the Buckeye State standing out as one of the most competitive insurance markets nationwide, we have a great story to tell. As the ways we consume information rapidly evolve through traditional media, social media and other outlets, Brittany’s years of communications experience in a wide variety of policy areas will help OII continue to reach more Ohioans.”
Halpin brings to OII more than 15 years of experience at both the state and federal government levels. Most recently, she served as press secretary for Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague where she worked to message the office’s priorities, managed media relations and social media, and supported stakeholder outreach.
In prior roles, Halpin served as the spokesperson for the former Ohio Department of Education and for former Ohio Auditor Dave Yost. She also served as a field representative for former U.S. House Speaker John Boehner.
Halpin earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Miami University.
