Jody Foltyn Joins OII as Vice President of Education and Workforce Development
(COLUMBUS) Jody Foltyn recently joined the Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) as vice president of education and workforce development. Foltyn will oversee OII’s Insuring Ohio Futures program and spearhead workforce development initiatives aimed at addressing the demand for talent within the industry.
“We’re thrilled to have Jody as a part of our OII team,” said Dean Fadel, OII president and CEO. “With Ohio’s insurance industry projecting a 10-year growth and replacement need of nearly 108,000 new workers – equating to 97% of total current employment – Jody’s background in government affairs, client and stakeholder relations, and public sector executive management uniquely qualifies her to lead OII’s efforts to meet this demand head-on.”
Prior to joining OII, Foltyn served as chief of staff to Ohio Treasurer of State Robert Sprague. As the Treasurer’s senior advisor, she played an integral role in shaping the priorities of the office. Foltyn also served as campaign manager and chief strategist for then-State Representative Robert Sprague before going on to lead the Transition Committee for Ohio Treasurer-Elect Robert Sprague.
In her role as vice president of Capitol Strategies Group, LLC, Foltyn devised and executed comprehensive advocacy efforts before the Ohio General Assembly and state executive agencies on behalf of the firm’s clients. She also gained experience as a campaign manager having run successful state and local candidate and issue campaigns.
Foltyn earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Ohio State University.
